X-Ray, also known as Radiography, is the fastest and easiest way for a Radiologist to view bones, the lungs and certain soft tissues.

During your scan – what to expect

Generally, two or three X-rays will be taken depending on the body part that is being viewed. There is no preparation for an X-ray, although patients may be asked to change into scrubs to eliminate any interference from metal objects on clothing. A patient may return to normal activities once their X-rays are complete.

After your scan– what to expect

Your activity will not be restricted. You may drive if you wish, resume your normal diet, exercise and take medications as directed. The Center for Medical Imaging's radiologist will review your images and send a diagnostic report to your doctor. Your doctor will review this information in context of your care, and talk with you regarging the results.
